Since when has Autonomy of life been such an agreed upon idea?
Not stating my stance on it, but I saw this thread on a pretty normie looking subreddit asking if people with a low quality of life should be able to get assisted suicide and pretty much every comment was about how you should be able to kill yourself for any reason, and they got hundreds of upvotes, and anyone saying otherwise got down voted into the negatives
Again, not stating my opinion on it, but I thought this was a niche opinion that antinatalists had? Since when has it been the popular opinion that killing yourself for any reason is right?
To clarify, I do believe Ina Autonomy of life. If you want to not live anymore that's your decision, though I personally don't think it's ever a good idea.
@higanbana@cannibal.cafe it is yeah
This society is so fucking dystopian and no one has realized
I mean, is this even surprising to anyone?
The whole field centers a sort of ‘normality’ to be conformed into and its practitioners are, at the end of the day, agents of the state.
I guess its because people these days are miserable and want to die
for antinatalists, especially cringelord mombie breeder crotch goblin redditor antinatalists and redditor nihilists, its because they think having a baby for any reason makes you a bad person and the entire human race should die off because all humans are bad
@arisudotexe as far as i know antinatalists are against birth, not life.
in any case, the ABILITY of someone to kill themselves isnt a complicated matter by itself, since the only arguments for someone to not have such an autonomy when there are no other factors(mental issues, family, etc) are religious.
do remember the thoughts of one or even multiple subreddits dont extrapolate to society as a whole, since only a minority actively interact in such places.
