@arisudotexe
The community around indie rpgs is so much better though. Check out the communities around PbtA, BitD, or especially BOB games and you'll find so many nice little communities of genuinely good people.
@freecss @arisudotexe for pbta games, i still want to run or play flying circus. play as a bunch of teens in a high fantasy setting, flying ww1 era planes, fighting monsters and fascists (which i guess is a certain kind of monster), and becoming absolute trauma messes that need copious amounts of drugs and sex to function
@arisudotexe wizards cornered the market, and that's to the detrement of everyone
hit me up if you're looking to play lancer, or hardwired island, or something. as long as it ain't d&d

@arisudotexe Tabletop is fun with entities you know, the problems can happen when you recruit randos from Craigslist, Reddit and etc. If we did one it would be fun
Also we like YGO, Vanguard and Mei adores Buddyfight, never played Magic ever. Our only experience with Magic players has been snobs who complain about other TCGs having tournaments at card shops lol, nowadays those types are made fun of though

I love tabletop role playing games but I hate the community around it. There are hundreds of games out there but all anyone cares about is d&d and it pisses me the fuck off. It's so weird because the only other community like for a type of game is tcgs and magic. Sure there's Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh and whatnot but it's majority magic and every goddamn one of them are magic fascists who think it's the best game objectively and that games like Pokémon are childish and aren't as deep as magic on any level.
